He has become one of the very few in the world to have taken a Bugatti Veyron to its top speed of nearly 253 mph (407 km/h), or precisely one-third of the speed of sound. In 2010 in season 15 of Top Gear, May took the new Bugatti Veyron Super Sport to 259.1mph (417kph)
